In the pilates after pregnancy the focus is on restoring your pelvic floor and abdominal muscles by using your breath. You do exercises that are beneficial to your posture: After 9 months, the position of your body has been adjusted by the weight of your child at the front of your body. Slowly, we want to reactivate the right muscles to regain your pre-pregnancy posture. In this lesson, you always get a full body workout. You will activate different muscle groups at a low intensity. However, you can still face challenges without getting too excited.
In this Postnatal Pilates class, you can take your child with you. After the lesson, you walk out full of satisfaction because you have paid an hour of attention to your body, and you have more knowledge about tightening the core and a bit of muscle pain in your buttocks.
We recommend that you wait 6 weeks after a vaginal birth and 8 weeks after a cesarean section to start pilates after giving birth. This way, you give your uterus and body enough rest to recover before you start making your body stronger.
The pilates classes take place in our studio in the center of Rotterdam at Nieuwe Binnenweg 191b. You can arrive in your sportswear, and everything else you need is in the studio.
