Contraception conversation
Contraceptive advice is very important. You may already have experience with contraception; maybe positive or negative experiences. You may or may not want hormone-containing methods. The period of a future wish to have children can also play a role. These questions and more are part of the conversation we'd love to have with you when you come to us for birth control consultations.
You don't need to be familiar with our practice to request a birth control interview.
During a birth control interview, you will see one of our midwives who is a contraceptive specialist. She will fully review your current situation. We do this in an integral way. This means that we don't just tell you what options there are, and then choose 1. No, we will talk to you about your lifestyle, your wishes and how you want to use contraception in a practical way. Together, investigate which method might suit you best. Ultimately, you make the choice.
