The first year of life
In the first year, your child needs food and a lot of closeness and security. You are still so in symbiosis with your baby who is still completely dependent on your care. The short nights are a challenge, but parenting isn't really necessary yet.
Your child is becoming increasingly mobile, turns around, crawls and pulls himself up. Quite a journey of discovery. One little blip can snowball into an accident. You can take the Baby & Child First Aid course to be fully prepared.
Toddler phase (from 1 to 2 years)
Your baby is no longer a baby and is starting to become more and more mobile. Walking will also start in this phase. You will also hear no more often. One jump follows another and your toddler is increasingly moving into the toddler phase. This is also how learning to talk begins in this phase.
Toddler phase (2-4 years)
In the second to fourth year, the world for your child gets bigger and bigger. You will get to know your child's character better. You will play an increasingly important role in processing the impression of the world your child is in. Making time for each other in your relationship can be challenging, keep talking to each other so you don't lose sight of each other.
And beyond
The first 7 years of life affect the rest of your child's life. In these years, it learns how to relate to the rest of the world. Your child learns how safe it is to express emotions, how to deal with conflicts and how to make themselves too clear.
How you spent the first 7 years of your life in turn affects how you, as a parent, are able to be there for your child. You can find yourself in your child's behavior. You will find out what you have received from your parents and whether you would like to pass it on to your children. Family constellations give you insight when you get stuck.
