You don't need to have previous yoga experience to be able to start with pregnancy yoga. You can opt for the weekly group pregnancy yoga class or the 6-week MOTHER ENERGY course. You can start the lesson in no time. We know it can be quite exciting to try a first lesson, so we're making it a little easier to explain what you'll be doing in class.
You're not going to wrap yourself in a complicated circle, but in pregnancy yoga, you do postures that support your body during pregnancy. For example, to relieve pelvic complaints, soothe hard bellies and stretches that make your body feel lighter again.
An exercise that helps you keep your attention more in the moment so that you give your head some rest.
Your breath can help you feel more relaxed, and it drags you through the contractions during labor.
If you already have experience with yoga, these pregnancy yoga classes will help you adapt your current yoga practice to your pregnancy. Each trimester has different postures and exercises to watch out for. It's ideal to take weekly group classes, get more information about yoga during pregnancy, or explore the 6-week MOTHER ENERGY course.
The pregnancy yoga classes take place in our studio in the center of Rotterdam at Nieuwe Binnenweg 191b. You can arrive in your yoga clothes, and everything else you need is available in the studio. Please note that there are no changing rooms or showers. You can participate in the classes from the first weeks of your pregnancy to the last weeks of your pregnancy, as long as you feel comfortable.
